What the app stores right now
Everything you do here is stored in your own browser on your own device, in localStorage. There is no backend yet. Nothing you type — a request, a reflection, your name, your city — is sent anywhere over the network. If you clear your browser storage, it is gone.
What the app does not do
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Segment, no pixels.
- No advertising networks. No cookies from third parties.
- No tracking scripts. No fingerprinting.
- No selling of data, ever, under any circumstance.
When the backend arrives
This app will eventually have a real backend so that requests can be prayed for by real strangers and so that prayer events can be delivered to you as notifications. When that happens, this page will be updated before any of your data ever leaves your device, and you will be asked to opt in.
The principle we will hold to: requests sent to the world pool are shared anonymously by default, with the option to attach a first name and city. They are never paired with your email, IP, or any identifier we could use to contact you for marketing.
Crisis content
If something you write suggests self-harm or suicidal thought, the app will surface crisis resources (988, Samaritans, Find a Helpline) right then and there. That detection runs locally; nothing is sent to a third-party service and nothing is logged.
When we later add a pastoral escalation channel for the backend version, it will be opt-in and clearly labeled, and we will never surface your real identity without your consent.
Children
This app is not directed to children under 13. An age gate will be added before the backend version goes live.
Contact
This is a small project. If you have a privacy question or want your data removed, open Settings → Reset this device to wipe everything locally. Once an external channel exists, it will be listed here.
